All hemp farmers have the same goal - to dependably harvest CBD biomass with the least amount of labor, potency loss, foreign material, and interruptions as possible. The problem is there is a lack of equipment to handle such a sticky and complex crop as hemp since the CBD industry is unusually new. There are several methods to mechanically harvest the hemp crop, but most fall short in producing a quality biomass sample while being efficient at the same time. The USA Hemp Combine design is fundamentally different and offers a level of harvesting performance that other types of hemp harvesting equipment are unable to achieve.

Wet Hemp Kit

Harvest fresh WET hemp plants with up to 80% flower/leaf separation from stalk/branches. Plants harvested this way normally double daily dryer capacity due to less surface area for moisture removal.

Dry Hemp Kit

Harvest DRY hemp plants with up to 80% flower/leaf separation from stalk/branches. Plants harvested this way are normally dried in the field or in barns prior to going through the combine. The machine can be used stationary or in the field.

Combine Conveyor System

In order to prevent costly damages and lengthy repairs during harvest, a conveyor system is added to all combines in order to bypass the combine grain tank. The result the crop is the biomass transfers to trailers or bulk sacks next to the combine instead of being stored inside of the machine. The conveyor system also requires less material handling, which in turn means you do not lose as much CBD potency.

Wet Biomass

The picture above shows what the biomass looks like from a hemp plant that was thrown in the combine within 10 minutes of being cut in the field. Very clean flowers with little waste debris (small branches/stalk). Biomass in this form dries 75% faster than whole buds through a dryer, which means you can increase your daily drying weight by 2-3x!

Dry biomass

The picture above shows biomass that was dried in a barn to 10% flower moisture before being fed through the combine. Up to 90% flower separation from stalk/branches with minimal CBD loss. Plants may be sun-dried in the field or in barns/warehouses.

Waste

The waste material is spit out the rear-end of the combine and left in the field. Separation with dry plants is better than wet plants, but you will also lose more CBD potency on your biomass. The stalk waste can be bailed and sold off or just left in the field as compost for the following year.

Do you already own a Case IH combine or prefer to buy your own through a local dealership? No problem! Purchase our hemp conversion kit to install in your Case IH combine models 1688, 2188, and 2388. The hemp conversion kit replaces your stock concaves, multiple gears, and adds a side discharge conveyor to by-pass grain elevator and unload augers. This eliminates material build, plugging, breaking of augers, and gear box damages. The result is better quality biomass flower/leaf separation from stalk/branches, less CBD potency loss, as well as saving you on costly repairs to the combine.

Would you rather avoid the headache of buying a random combine and installing the kit yourself? Choose one of our in-house certified combines with hemp kit already installed. These machines are inspected and certified by one of our in-house Case IH certified mechanics and come with a 1 year warranty. If something happens with the machine, we get a representative out to your field within 48-72 hours to repair the equipment or offer you a loaner machine.
